enable vsync (to lessen the load on the gpu) - now this only works if enabling vsync actually lowers the fps in the game. maybe they are somehow involved in those driver resets as well ?!ģ. The highlights currently are responsible for some crashes of the game (at least alt+tabbing has been reported to crash the client if nvidia disable nVidia highlights in the advanced settings of the launcher (or in GFE) - while this may not help on this specific problem it seems as if The core and videomemory clocks by lets say 100MHz each - i know this sounds kinda rediculous but sometimes it helps ^^)Ģ. is your gpu / videocard overclocked (even factory overclocked) ? in this case you could try running the gpu on stock clocks. so you just get a black screen and a message that the videocard driver hung and had to be reset but the client itself does not crash ?!Īrgh -.- that definitely makes it more difficult since there are no files to analyze =/ġ. If all fixes mentioned above don't work, you'll have to send a ticket to the support.Īhh.

I've even used DDU to remove my GPU drivers and clean-install new ones. I've set my Nvidia GPU Utility performance settings to Max Performance etc. I've reinstalled the game dozens of times, cleanly uninstalled my Nvidia GPU drivers dozens of times and reinstalled the past 10 versions of the official WHQL Nvidia GPU drivers. I've tried running the game with every possible combination of graphics settings available from within the launcher and in the game. War Thunder is running at 4K UHD (3840x2160p) which is my TV/monitor's native display mode. I've tried absolutely everything humanly possible to fix this game-breaking bug and nothing seems to work. I have the exact same problem, and I've had it since War Thunder Version 1.75 was released. If it's related to clocks / timings at all. Still always worth a try running the hardware on slightly lower clocks - if not to (permanently) solve the issue at least to find out More taxing on the hardware (guess we'll find out soon enough ^^). The new features that got implemented (like TAA) but i'm kinda afraid that it might be related to the fact that the new engine is
NVIDIA GRAPHICS DRIVER 398.36 CAUSING GTA 5 CRASHES UPDATE
Update 1.77 on the dev server -.- this could ofc be related to the new Dagor engine not being fully optimized yet or to one of Unfortunately just recently i had my first (unexpected) driver reset (TDR) ever on WT while i was having a look into the new If i dont slightly underclock my gpu - once underclocked the games will run for hours without issues. (like Dragon Age Origins and Witcher 2 for instance) that will occasionally crash or just close to desktop without any message I got a GTX660 which is factory overclocked and while everything is (generally) running perfectly fine there are some games General timings on the system including the hardware timers etc) Gpu is running on 100% load when vsync is switched off) or the clocking of the hardware (gpu as well as cpu and also the those things may be affected by either very high demands on the hardware (and usually the I dont think that's a harware error / malfunction either ^^ but WT is kinda special (or picky XD) when it comes to timingsĪnd wait states as it seems. The card has run without issues for months, and it's the drivers crashing, not a hardware error. I'm with the latest drivers. If im playing on high, the crash sent my game to play on medium, and if im playing on medium, the game sent to low

NVIDIA GRAPHICS DRIVER 398.36 CAUSING GTA 5 CRASHES PATCH
Sadly I don't remember which one, and since the patch notes always ever read "improved client stability", there's nothing I can check there. This issue occurs on the most recent driver as well as the 388 and the 390 versions which tried, too(clean installs each), and it started happening after one of WT's patches.

Meanwhile a message tells me that the Nvidia drivers have crashed and have been resetted. My screen will go black for about five seconds, while the sound's still there, then it comes back with at first vastly reduced details but then balancing out to normal again. 391.01) keep crashing in War Thunder (and in War Thunder alone).
